New preprint: flexibility in the ESX-5 secretion pore

Preprint page for "Intrinsic flexibility of Type VII secretion central pore is required for substrate translocation" on bioRxiv

A new preprint from Christina Ritter, Grzegorz Chojnowski and colleagues at EMBL Hamburg, with Kate as a co-author, is now up on bioRxiv: Intrinsic flexibility of Type VII secretion central pore is required for substrate translocation.

It follows on from earlier work on the ESX-5 pore complex and shows that flexibility in the pore-forming helices of EccC5 is needed for substrates to get through the mycobacterial type VII secretion system.

Read the preprint on bioRxiv.
